23 March 2010: May's issue of the journal

CODP members should be receiving their May journal in the post within the next few days!

The new issue is packed with articles on advanced roles, human factors, fluids used in organ retrieval, post-operative nausea and vomiting, mentoring the failing student, spinal anaesthesia, and providing emergency care when not at work.

This issue's peer-reviewed professional paper is a critical commentary on the operating theatre as a learning environment.

ERRATUM: On page 8 of the print issue of May's journal, it states that 'Organs are rapidly flushed and cooled to 40°C' – this should clearly read 4°C and not 40°C. The journal apologises for this error, which was in production and not the author's. The online archive edition has been corrected.

Do remember that CODP members will be able to complete the current online CPD module – A scientific approach to resuscitation (part two) – until the end of May.
