News
Members of the CODP can now access a new CPD module and the latest issue of the journal online.
College members can read Urethral catheterisation: a literature review by Nicole Lever and answer 10 multiple-choice questions on it anytime before the end of August to get a certificate of completion. The next new module is due to become available at the beginning of August.
The latest issue of the journal is introduced by our new professional editor Mark Hellaby, and features articles on the experiences of practitioners working in the independent sector, the use of wikis in ODP education, blogging as a learning tool and a refresher on the duty of care.
There is also a clinical update on anaphylaxis, and a professional paper on the effective transfer of learning from clinical simulation to real patient care.
The online modules are designed to help you to meet HPC requirements for CPD. They should not be viewed as sufficient in themselves, but may provide a valuable addition to your on-going CPD portfolio. The personal statements that you are asked to provide before submitting your answers to the modules can help you in considering how to approach other CPD activities.
