HPC Registration 2010
We have recently met with the Health Professional Council (HPC) to discuss the re-registration of ODP’s this year.
The HPC are due to issue renewal notices in early September. This time around there will be the option to manage your renewal on-line through a personal account. This will enable registrants to make the necessary declarations electronically.
The HPC plan is to conduct CPD audits on 240 ODPs, representing 2.5% of ODP registrants. Last time the sample was 5%.
We shall be hosting a CPD workshop to aid members during the re-registration process, more details about the workshop will be available soon.
The HPC are also conducting a consultation exercise on proposed changes to the Generic Standards of Proficiency. The proposal is to reduce the current 26 SOPs to 15.
