New On-Line CPD Launched
The College is pleased to announce the official launch of the new On-line CPD Modules, launched today, 1 December 2009.
Our new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) modules are available to all CODP members, to help you to develop your practice in-line with the Health Professions Council requirements.
If you are a CODP member, you can log in using your CODP membership number and surname (for more on becoming a member, see here). The online CPD activitities can be accessed on the new journal website:
www.technicthejournal.com
You will find the first CPD module on Transferring Surgical Patients authored by Keith Underwood (Member of the Education and Standards Committee) is now available for Members to complete.
On this website, you can complete CPD modules while they are active, and you can come back to a module as often as you like to finish reading the article and answering the questions.
Once you have completed a CPD module and submit your answers, you will receive a certificate of completion that you can use when providing evidence of your CPD activities.
Once a CPD module is no longer active you will still be able to read the article, and you will be able to view the correct answers.
Over the past month the online CPD activities have been available for viewing under a trial period. Many of you have have already explored the CPD module and feedback to date has been excellent.
Every second month Members will recieve a copy of Technic in the post and every other month you can expect a new Online CPD Module.
We hope that you find the new On-line CPD Modules beneficial and welcome any feedback you may have on this new resource. Please direct your feedback to the journal's managing editor on danny.ratnaike@tenalps.com.
Best wishes,
The Team at CODP
